En novembre, Paris est la capitale mondiale de la photographie, le Marché Dauphine a souhaité prendre part à ce temps fort en donnant carte blanche à l’un de ses galeristes, Ricardo Fernandes, stand 86 .
Constatant que la photographie brésilienne est assez méconnue en dehors de ses frontières Ricardo Fernandes, commissaire de l’exposition, a décidé de mettre en lumière la scène photographique actuelle (Pedro David, Romy Pocztaruk, Lucia Adverse…) mais aussi d’autres auteurs qui ont contribué à écrire son histoire (Juan Esteves, Lita Cerqueira, Sebastião Salgado…).
Depuis 2015, le galeriste travaille en étroite collaboration avec la conservatrice pour la photographie contemporaine de la Bibliothèque nationale de France – BnF, Héloïse Conésa. Ensemble, ils réfléchissent à l’enrichissement de la collection du département des Estampes et de la Photographie par des oeuvres de photographes brésiliens incontournables de la période actuelle.
Avec des oeuvres de : Alexandre Sequeira, Andrea Eichenberger, Cristiano Xavier, Feco Hamburger, Felipe Fittipaldi, João Castilho, Joaquim Paiva, José Diniz, Juan Esteves, Lita Cerqueira, Lucia Adverse, Lula Ricardi, Pedro David, Romy Pocztaruk.
