GALERIE AHI Rugs Antiques Art Studios & Restorers N° Stand In Tehran, at the end of the 60s, the young engineer Farhad Ahi dreamed of becoming an architect. In his spare time, he drew and created furniture and lighting fixtures that he manufactured in his factory, and presented them in a gallery called La Maison . A prescient name since 10 years later, destiny and Revolution led the family to Paris – where he and his francophone wife founded a gallery of ancient carpets and tapestries at the Puces de Saint-Ouen. An astute entrepreneur and tireless object hunter, he is also known for his chic eccentric outfits and collection of unique rings, as he designed most of them himself. Since its opening in 1991, the Ahi Gallery has been a must-see at the Paris Saint-Ouen Flea Market. Those passionate about the art of weaving will find their happiness on this stand. Mr. Ahi is a specialist in ancient tapestries from the 16th to the 20th century, from Aubusson and Flanders, as well as in borders and seat upholstery.
